Things to do in Wrexham

Straddling the English/Welsh border, Wrexham is the largest town in north Wales positively alive with history. It houses the oldest medieval church in Wales, while – somewhat unbelievably – Wrexham FC are the third-oldest football club in the world. That history extends to several Instagram-friendly castles and stately homes, leafy town centre parks and the sky-scraping Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. There’s much more to Wrexham than history, however. Kids and families will love the science discovery centre Techniquest Glyndwr, and there’s a vibrant live music, theatre, cinema and comedy scene with several first-class venues. Our hotels in Wrexham are well-placed to take in all the action including the best bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes in the region.
