Things to do in Weston-super-Mare

Literally meaning Weston-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare grew from a collection of fishing villages into a leading Victorian resort. Thanks to its large tidal range which sees the Irish Sea cover over a mile of sand and mud flats, the area has some of the best beaches in the country including Brean Beach which is one of the longest in Europe.

With a wide range of activities including land-yachting, sailing and an annual sandcastle competition, the beaches are where you’ll find a lot of the action. The Grand Pier is packed with rides, amusements, restaurants and bars while you’ll also find a water park, an aquarium and plenty of ice cream stalls and beach-side cafés and bars along the coast. There’s plenty to do and see inland as well, with the world-leading Helicopter Museum, the interactive Weston-super-Mare museum, several state-of-the-art cinema complexes and two contrasting but complimentary theatres putting on a wide range of shows. And our Weston-super-Mare hotels are in the heart of the action.

Factor in a varied restaurant and café scene spanning fish and chips, BBQ joints, vegan eateries and fine-dining, plus more bars, pubs and clubs than you could shake a pint/wine/shot glass at, Weston-super-Mare is one of the leading seaside resorts in the UK with something for everyone.
