Telford Shopping Centre

The shopping centre has everything you need under one roof – fashion and beauty, cards and gifts, stationery and books, toys, camping equipment, travel agents, hairdressers and even an opticians. You’ll find high street fashion staples, such as H&M, Topshop and Topman, Next, Zara and River Island, alongside large department stores like Debenhams and House of Fraser, WHSmith and Waterstones. Plus, there are also travel agents Thomas Cook and TUI if you’re looking to book your next trip away while you’re here.

Not only does Telford Shopping Centre cater to your every shopping whim, it’s also got great eateries and bars to keep your energy up. For grab ’n’ go and oh-so-bad-for-you options, there are Greggs – three of them! – Krispy Kreme and a McDonald’s, while at Costa Coffee and Aroma Café Bar, you can get your caffeine fix and give your shopping-weary feet a rest. And if you’re looking for something a bit heartier, you can choose TGI Fridays or Prezzo.

With arms full of shopping and stomachs full of food, there’s one last treat the shopping centre has in-store – a time machine. The Telford Time Machine, also known as The Frog Clock, is the main event in the centre’s Sherwood Square and celebrated 21 years of time-telling service in 2017. Two decades after its arrival, shoppers still stop every half an hour to watch as the clock comes to life, setting in motion a spinning wheel, playing music and belching bubbles out of the frog’s mouth. The square itself is usually a hive of activity and regularly hosts market stalls, exhibitions and even Santa’s grotto.

Open seven days a week, the centre operates until 6pm from Monday to Saturday, and until 4.30pm on Sundays, with late-night opening until 8pm every Thursday. It is right on the doorstep of our Telford International Centre hotel and just a 10-minute walk from our Telford Central hotel – perfect if you’re looking to squeeze in a spot of retail therapy around Telford’s attractions.
