It’s never been easier to get to and from Taunton. It’s a traditional town with great connections to the rest of the country. It means you can be on the Levels in the morning and pretty much anywhere in Britain by the evening. Being located just off Junction 25 of the M5 makes driving around Taunton easy. But with two international airports nearby, a historic railway station and busy bus station, you’re never short of travel options.

The nearest major airport is Exeter International Airport, 35 miles from the centre of Taunton. Our closest hotel to Exeter Airport is Premier Inn Exeter (M5 J29), only 10 minutes’ drive away. There’s only one airport terminal, but you can travel to a wide range of mostly European holiday destinations – whether you want a city break in Paris or Amsterdam, or to soak up some rays on the beaches of Corfu or Lanzarote. You can also get around the UK from Exeter Airport, with FlyBe operating flights to and from ten destinations. Or, if you’re looking to fly further afield you can book onward tickets to the rest of the world via a change at Manchester, London, Dublin or Paris.
38 miles in the opposite direction, your other option is Bristol Airport. Formerly an RAF airfield, it’s now a base for airlines including EasyJet, Ryanair, Thomas Cook, and TUI Airways. You can fly to over 100 destinations from Bristol – 12 in the UK, the vast majority of Europe, and other destinations around the rest of the world like Marrakech and Cancun. We have plenty of hotels near Bristol Airport if you’re looking for a place to stay before your flight.
