Windsor Racecourse

One of only three figure-of-eight courses in the UK, Windsor Racecourse has hosted high speed horse flat-racing since 1866. Originally an enclosed royal hunting ground 700 years ago, the racecourse has a lot of history and was one of the few tracks to be used during both wars, with a bomb even falling during one of the races, thankfully resulting in no injuries.

Located on the banks of the River Thames less than five minutes from our Slough hotel, the racecourse holds several prominent races each year, including the Midsummer, August and Winter Hill Stakes, with the racing season running from April through to October. There are three restaurants and bars to watch the action from, as well as a range of private booths and suites, with races largely taking place on Monday evenings as well as a few Saturday and Sunday events.

Jump In Slough

Unleash your inner Gladiator and LeBron James at Jump In Slough, with thousands of square feet of trampolines, tumble runs, battle beams, giant airbags, dodgeball and foam zone fun. Basically the most fun you can have with socks on, it is part of the new wave of trampoline parks that have taken over the UK, and is just a short hop, skip and a jump from our Slough West hotel. There’s plenty for kids, thanks to the soft play zone for under fives, a twist ladder and drop slides, while the café will keep energy levels high with a range of snacks, drinks and light meals.
