Entertainment in Redditch

Part of the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Vue Redditch is the largest cinema complex in town with seven screens and over 1,000 seats. A state-of-the-art cinema chain that screens all the latest mainstream films, the cinema has the usual mix of snacks and drinks as well as a licensed bar. Alternatively, the shopping centre nearby has over 20 cafés and fast food outlets including Nando’s, Costa and Prezzo. The shopping centre car park offers free parking after 6pm via car park 1 for cinema-goers while our Redditch North hotel is just a short walk or drive north of the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

Also based in the centre of town, the Palace Theatre is a classic two-tiered theatre that hosts an array of events including live music, tribute nights, family events, stand-up comedy, drama, musicals and dance. The 420-capacity theatre dates back to 1913 and was extensively refurbished in 2005 adding in an intimate bar, improving disabled access and creating a greener, more energy-efficient building. The leading cultural space in the area with an action-packed calendar booked months in advance, the Palace Theatre also has a small art gallery with regularly rotating exhibitions.

One of the oldest clubs in the Midlands, Redditch Utd F.C. were established in 1891 and play their home games at the 5,000-capacity Trisco Stadium on the western side of Redditch. The club are currently part of the Southern League, also known as the Evo-Stik league, and recently upgraded their facilities including a new year-round 3G playing service and upgraded changing facilities.
