Boost Trampoline Park
For high-octane fun, Northampton’s fantastic Boost Trampoline Park is sure to put a spring in your step. A sprawling complex of over 30,000ft, Boost has over 50 interconnected trampolines, a wipe-out zone, basketball hoops, two dodgeball courts and a foam-pit with diving boards and battle beams; Gladiators style.
Boost can get very busy, particularly at weekends and during the school holidays, so they recommend you book your spot ahead of time. You can also buy anti-slip socks on site, which come in particularly handy if you’re tackling the fidget ladder or a vertical wall. Lockers are available for free to tuck away your valuables or a change of clothes. You’ll want to make sure you’re comfy and can move around easily in your clothes. Think gym-wear, stretchy leggings, shorts and t-shirts; you’re bound to work up a sweat!
Serving snacks and hot and cold drinks, the café is the perfect pit-stop for when you need to take a breather. It also doubles up as an observation lounge if you decide to be part of the cheering squad.
Boost is open until 10pm every night and offers exercise classes as well as their popular ‘free jump’ sessions. Everyone over five is welcome to use the park’s facilities and those under five have a dedicated ‘Toddler Zone’ bounce area to enjoy.

Northampton cinemas
If you’re looking for some lighter entertainment, Vue cinema is just the ticket. One of Northampton’s three cinemas, the Vue is right in the town centre, on the second floor of the Sol Centre. It’s the perfect place to catch the latest silver screen release. On the 10 screens, you’ll find a collection of the newest blockbusters, family films, 3D releases and occasional big-screen showings of theatre shows and opera.
Going to the cinema can sometimes be a costly affair but Vue’s Super Monday offer, as well as family ticket bundles and Meerkat Movies help to keep the price low. You should check the Vue’s website for full information and to activate the offers, as well as check for film times and special events at the Northampton screen.
Go-karting
Teamworks Karting is a huge indoor circuit, which is able to accommodate up to 100 drivers at any one time. With over 25 years’ experience, you know you’re in safe hands as you get behind the wheel of the UK’s fastest indoor karts. Whether it’s your first time in the driving seat or you’re a circuit pro, Teamworks’ track is challenging and fun, and a true adrenalin-pumping experience.
Drivers must be at least eight years old and 125cm tall to drive and there are sessions to suit every skill level, including child-only sessions. Included in your ticket price are a safety briefing and all the kit you need for a thrilling and safe ride.
Ticket prices vary depending on the day, time and session type, so you can make use of off-peak hours and sessions like the Monday Night Club where you can get unlimited racing between 6.30pm and 9pm for a set price.
If you’re wanting to do a test drive before you go full throttle, the 30-minute session is a bite-size chunk that throws you right into the action after your safety briefing. If you get a taste for it, you can add on another 30-minute stint for a reduced cost.
For those of you who like to participate from the stands, there is a double-glazed viewing area where you can take in all the action.
Teamworks Karting is just a seven-minute drive from our Northampton Town Centre hotel and a quick 10 minutes from the M1.
