Essential Information
Opened in 2000, the 44-metre-high building is the second tallest in the region and make sure to check out their indoor ski slope Snozone first.
The 170-metre course is lined with real snow, with ski and snowboard hire and lessons available for everyone from beginners to black-run specialists. There is even a range of jumps, kickers and rails where expert skiers and snowboarders can test themselves out.
Xscape’s also the home of Milton Keynes’ super casino, The Casino MK. The second largest in the UK, it’s open 24/7 and is huge with 16 poker tables, blackjack, roulette and baccarat tables and over 100 slot machines.
If gambling’s not your thing, Xscape is also home to the town’s most popular comedy club, where you can watch acts from the national comedy circuit. Some of the UK’s biggest comedy names, including Jimmy Carr and Michael McIntyre tried out some of their first shows at The Comedy Club, so you could well be watching the next big name in action.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience the beauty of flight but, you know, without the whole throwing yourself out of a plane business, iFLY Indoor Skydiving is designed for you. Over streams of air, you get to experience the thrill of skydiving, without any of the parachute concerns or high costs of the real thing. Open to kids as young as three, it’s a once in a lifetime experience and comes highly recommended.
If you need to kill some time before your snowboard lesson or skydiving experience, there are dozens of shops across the space including skate and surfing brands Quicksilver and O’Neill as well as bike and outdoor stores. They also have more than 20 restaurants, bars and cafés ranging from full-on meals to food on the go. And that’s without mentioning the 18-lane Hollywood Bowl, the indoor climbing wall or the 16-screen state of the art Cineworld complex including the UK’s first Superscreen with wall-to-wall projectors that create a ceiling-high 3D screen with Dolby Atmos speakers. It needs to be seen and heard to be believed.
