Bars

For cocktails, craft beers and a very decent wine list, look no further than the Malvern Lounge in the centre of town just off Church Street. A snug and cosy bar that’s gained a loyal following after more than four years in business, they serve up a tasty range of bar snacks and also have a weekly live acoustic session featuring some of the best local talent.

Blurring the lines between a cocktail bar, laid-back lounge and sports bar, The Cave in nearby Top Link is split over three levels with several pool tables, a dart board, four large screens and a chilled-out cocktail lounge.

For something a bit more raucous, head to Priors Croft, the town’s only late-night bar and club. With a late 4 am license at the weekend, regular drink deals and a young and energetic crowd, it’s the perfect place to unwind on the dance floor.

Pubs

If you only go to one pub in Malvern, make sure it’s the Brewers Arms on Sugarloaf Hill, just a five-minute drive from our Malvern hotel. A regular stop-off on hikes through the Malvern Hills, the pub terrace offers spectacular views across the region, while inside, the pub dishes up homely pub grub and some brilliant local brews.

Another pub that makes the most of its Malvern Hills location is the Wellington Inn in Colwall. With the Malvern Hills as a backdrop, the pub is a real ale specialist with an impressive wine list. But the real star of the show is their kitchen, which uses locally sourced ingredients to create a stunning gastropub menu with plenty of weekly specials.

Back in Malvern’s town centre, the Nags Head comes highly recommended, a traditional English pub right down to the roaring open fire, a wide range of cask ales and some seriously tasty upmarket pub grub.

A little further south of the town centre on Clarence Road is The Swan Inn, another venerable drinking institution known for its wide range of real ales, welcoming atmosphere and large beer garden.
