Eating and drinking
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink near the university. Everyone from your visiting friends to your family will enjoy the student deals!

From Italian to Greek to Indian, there are restaurants galore near GCU. For big pizzas and even bigger pastas, try the Amalfi restaurant which is incredibly good value for money. For great sharing platters, Thai eatery Chaophraya is ideal while Greek food lovers will enjoy Yiamas Greek Tavernafor its famous gyros.

If you’ve got visitors and want to take them to a traditional Glaswegian pub, pop along to The Pot Still on Hope Street for a cosy atmosphere and lots of whiskey on offer. Alternatively, cocktails are a plenty at Blue Dog on West George Street while Slouch is great for relaxing with a bottle of whatever takes your fancy.

By car
Though easily accessible from the M8 motorway, there is no parking available on campus. However, there is ample space at the Buchanan Galleries car park nearby.

By subway
The closest subway stations to the university are Buchanan Street and Cowcaddens.

Walking distance from both Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central station, intercity links come from London, Edinburgh and more.
