Want somewhere romantic and seductive, where the food looks as good as it tastes? Then you want to book a table at Beautiful South Restaurant on Windmill Hill opposite Enfield Chase train station. It's one of the top restraurants in the region. They’ve been creating mouth-watering meals for over 30 years, covering classic British and Mediterranean recipes with their inimitable twist.
If, however, you want wood-fired pizza cooked to perfection, with a reasonable bottle of house red and authentic tiramisu, head to Arte Pizza in nearby Chase Side.
The diversity on offer in Enfield’s restaurant scene is one of its main attractions. Saathi, also in Chase Side, is the leading spice merchant in town. The smart, contemporary outlet serves up balti, tandoori and biryani, plus a popular Sunday lunch buffet option.
Ada Restaurant, meanwhile, covers a wide range of Middle Eastern, Turkish and Greek classics, including mixed grills, hummus, stuffed vine leaves and shish kebabs, with dine-in and takeaway options.

Windmill Hill is an excellent spot for cafés and restaurants, home to Beautiful South Restaurant, Nelitos, a tasty Italian outlet, and our first cafe recommendation, the Olive Tree Café. Hidden up a side street, the upmarket cafe is a tranquil oasis punctuated by freshly roasted coffee, excellent eggs and adventurous salads.
Just as tasty but over in Enfield’s town centre on Silver Street is the Old Shutter Café and Bistro, open daily from 8am to 5pm for breakfast, brunch, pancakes, coffee, milkshakes and more.
Alternatively, pop into Malone and Co. off Church Street for their freshly baked bread, healthy lunch and breakfast options and dedicated kids menu.
If speed is your main concern, try Mama’s Pita in Chase Side. A Greek twist on a sandwich bar, their homemade grilled pitas are delicious, with a range of traditional fillings including souvlaki, biftekaki and yeeros pork, plus Greek street food classics.
