Located a short distance from Old Town, The Hurst Arms is a popular, traditional pub. Choose from five real ales on tap, including several from local brewer Harvey’s, while the pub screens all the latest football and rugby games throughout the year, with a pool table, dart board and jukebox rounding out the entertainment options.

A five-minute walk from our Town Centre hotel, The Marine is an oak-lined pub and restaurant that’s won a legion of fans over the past 30 years. From its beer garden and patio to its colourfully decorated main bar, it’s a traditional pub that serves up a wide range of drinks, while they’re open for food – which is excellent, by the way – for lunch and dinner.

On the edge of the town centre, The Pilot Inn is the perfect pub to finish up at after exploring nearby Beachy Head and the South Downs. The food is some of the best in Eastbourne, so book ahead to try their homemade burgers, dressed crab or their game pie, or make do with their beer garden, extensive gin menu and array of cask ales.

Commonly known as a leading LGBTQ pub in the region, The Hart is a modern bar and pub that hosts a variety of quizzes and theme nights with a wide range of well-priced drinks. Its real attraction though is its Club Room and The Garden. Start off with a few relaxing drinks in the balmy garden stocked with tropical plants before heading into the Club Room, which opens from 10pm-2am every Saturday.

Overlooking the beach, there aren’t many pubs with a better view than The Crown & Anchor. With one of five real ales in hand, their beer battered cod and chips in front of you while you take in the setting sun from the balcony, you really don’t get much better. There’s plenty of entertainment inside as well, with all the big matches, a darts board and pool table, jukebox and regular live music.

On the northern edge of Eastbourne and a short drive from our Eastbourne Polegate hotel, The Seven Sisters is a great traditional pub with a country feel. The pub serves up a range of regular real ales, with a darts board and pool table on hand if you start to feel competitive, while they regularly host live music at the weekend. And, newly refurbished, the pub now boasts one of the better-looking interiors in the region.
