Train stations

Dundee Train Station is the central hub of transport for the city. It’s well positioned in the heart of Dundee on South Union Street, a five-minute walk from our Dundee Centre hotel. With trains travelling through Dundee to some of the UK’s biggest cities – including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and London – you can get a train here from pretty much anywhere. There’s seating available in the station and you can grab a hot drink from Coffee House and a paper from WHSmith to keep you entertained on your journey.

A little further out is Broughty Ferry Railway Station. Servicing local areas, you can be in Glasgow in two hours or Aberdeen in just over an hour if venturing further into Scotland is on your agenda while staying in one of our Dundee hotels. The facilities are pretty basic here – there is a waiting room and seating but no shops to grab a coffee on the go.

Airport transfers

Just over a mile from the city centre and our Dundee Centre hotel, Dundee Airport is known as the gateway to the home of golf, as it’s the nearest airport to St. Andrews, Gleneagles and Carnoustie. Currently the only scheduled carrier with flights from Dundee Airport is Loganair, which runs two flights a day to Stansted Airport in London.

If you’re not London-based, you might want to fly into the busier Edinburgh Airport, which charters weekly flights from many UK cities, including Birmingham, London, Manchester, Southampton and East Midlands. As Edinburgh Airport is an hour-long drive from Dundee, you might want to stay in one of our hotels near Edinburgh Airport if you’re on a late flight, and grab a train to Dundee from Edinburgh Station the next day.
