The leading shopping centre in the region, Saxon Square is located in the heart of the town centre and just a short walk from our Christchurch West hotel. Home to nearly 30 stores including big-name brands like Boots, New Look, Millets and Argos, the centre is also a great place for a caffeine pit stop at Costa. And if the sun is shining, The Chilly Wizard is one of the best places to get an ice cream in town, with a range of traditional and not-so-traditional flavours – mascarpone and fig ice cream, anyone?
If you’re looking for something a bit more alternative, Emporium is a delightful collection of stalls, traders and mini-shops selling everything from upcycled furniture and arts and crafts to baby clothes, vintage handbags, beauty products, organic goods and much, much more. Located just off Bridge Street, the indoor market is open Tuesday to Sunday and is a great place to pick up gifts or something a little different.
