Since opening in 2009, St David's Dewi Sant – or as it’s better known, St David’s – has quickly become one of the UK’s top five shopping centres. Shopping
Head down St David’s Walk and St David’s Way and find everything from classic department stores, Debenhams and M&S, to boutique handbag specialists Radley, beauty store Crabtree & Evelyn and jewellers Links of London. Heading into The Hayes will reveal a number of desirable designer stores, like Hugo Boss, Kurt Geiger and Reiss, while stepping into the Grand Arcade will deliver all your high street favourites, such as Gap, H&M and New Look.

Cinema
Looking for the biggest and brightest international blockbusters in 2D, 3D and even 4DX? Then you’ve come to the right place. Located right next door to St David's, this 15-screen cinema has all the latest releases and best kids' movies, as well as some great art house films. Open until 12am every night, why not make a night of it and grab some food in St David's before you head in to watch your film.

Treetop Adventure Golf
Ready to go on an epic adventure and take on a treetop mini golf challenge? Head to St David’s upper level to play one of the centre’s two 18-hole indoor courses – Tropical Trail and Ancient Explorer. Along the way you’ll meet plenty of characters, see some sights and hear the sounds of the rainforest, then sit back and enjoy some food and drink in the Clubhouse. A perfect day for all the family!

From art exhibitions to kids’ entertainment, St David’s has a calendar packed with plenty of exciting events. Previous family favourites include summer craft activities at the Disney store, with great activities such as designing bookmarks, badges and keyrings, and learning to draw Mickey, and The Hamleys Superheroes hosting a range of in store Superhero activities, including meeting Super Hamley Bear.

Wi-Fi

Don’t want to be out of touch while you’re shopping? Make the most of the St David’s free Wi-Fi. It’s available throughout the centre using The Cloud. You’ll find it when you log onto the Internet using your smart phone. Tip Top
If you don’t want to get weighed down by all your purchases, why not use one of the centre’s Shop & Drop Lockers? When your hands are full but you’ve still got more shopping to do, or you want to take in a round of mini golf without being loaded down by your bags, head to the Information Desk on the Upper Level and drop off your shopping. It’s just £1 per locker, but remember you need to pick up your belongings before the centre closes.

Eating and Drinking
Whether you want a quick drink or a meal to remember, you’ll find plenty of choice within St David’s and in the surrounding area.

From burgers loaded with toppings to vegan salads, and everything in between, it's all available from morning to night at St David's. For coffee, tea and light bites, take your pick of high street favourites, such as Café Rouge and Patisserie Valerie. If you want a bigger meal, you can choose food from around the world from chain restaurants including Wahaca, Yo! Sushi, Pizza Express and Wagamama. If you decide to head out of the centre, there a lots of great places to eat nearby. Take a trip to Madame Fromage and Science Cream, to discover the delicious combination of French and Welsh cuisine. Try everything from galettes and baked camembert to boeuf bourguignon and rarebit – all for less than £10. For great local produce and delicious hearty meals served in a relaxed atmosphere, take a trip to Bill’s.

Want to enjoy some drinks with your new purchases? Head to the Cosy Club inside St David’s for informal drinking and lounging in a homely and family friendly environment. Whatever your tipple the Cosy Club aims to please with a good selection of draught beer, cider and ale, as well as a compact list of wine and classic cocktails.

If you’re looking for somewhere to drink after St David’s shuts, you’ll have lots of choice nearby in Cardiff city centre. For the freshest craft beer poured from one of thirty taps, plus a choice of bottles from all over the world, head to Brewdog. If you’re looking for a small and stylish cocktail bar serving creative cocktails with plenty of theatre, then Lab 22 is the place for you. Feeling particularly thirsty? Lab 22 offer a seven course taster menu of bespoke cocktails.

Near St David’s Shopping Centre
Right next door to St David's Hall, the National Concert Hall and Conference Centre of Wales, you’re a few steps away from lots of live entertainment at this shopping centre. Although it’s home to the annual Welsh Proms Cardiff and the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition, it’s not all classical at the Hall. St David's presents a huge range of events, including pop, rock, folk, jazz, rhythm and blues, comedy, musicals, dance, world music, films and children's shows.

Fancy some sporting spectacle after shopping? If you wander east of the centre, you’ll arrive at the Principality Stadium. Previously known as the Millennium Stadium, this is the national stadium of Wales and home of the Welsh national rugby team. The Principality offers a mini or full tour of the stadium or a rugby legends tour that allows you to go behind the scenes and follow in the footsteps of your sporting heroes.

Getting to St David’s Shopping Centre
Located right in the heart of the Cardiff, you’ll find plenty of transport options near St David’s shopping centre.

 

By car
Sitting above the centre is the St David’s 2, a 24-hour car park which has 2,000 spaces. The car park is colour coded, uses easy to read and recall icons and each level is named after a Welsh river so you won’t find it hard to remember where you’ve parked. Pedestrian exits from this car park will take you directly onto the centre. If you’re using sat nav, use postcode CF10 2EN.


By bus
You’ll find Cardiff Central Bus Station right next to Cardiff Central Railway Station. If you jump off your bus here, it’s a quick five minutes’ walk to St David’s. You’ll also find close by stops on these roads: Hayes Bridge Road, Kingsway, St Mary Street, Churchill Way, Canal Street, Greyfriars Road, and Bute Terrace, so can take your pick of the bus routes.


By train
If you’re getting the train to Cardiff Central Station, you’ll have a five-minute walk to the centre. Leave by the station’s main entrance on the north side and head along Mill Lane, which turns into The Hayes where St David’s is located. If you’re arriving at Queen Street Station, head out of the main entrance and along Bridge Street until you arrive at St David's.
