With the development of further stands, the stadium now sees over 33,000 people swarming into the grounds on match day. This massive capacity makes it the 24th largest stadium in the UK, and the second biggest in Wales.

The ground has held home matches for the Cardiff Blues before the rugby union team moved to the Cardiff Arms Stadium. The Stereophonics headlined the first gig at the stadium in 2010 and since then other huge stars, including Bon Jovi and Rod Stewart, have taken centre stage. Important information
The stadium’s box office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm and 9am to 3pm on a Saturday when there is no game being played. On a match day, it’s open from 9am ‘til half time. The stadium is shut on Sundays. The SuperStore is also open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and 10am to 4pm on a non-match Saturday. Layout
With a total capacity of 33,280 during football matches Cardiff City Stadium is split into four different zones, plus a family friendly area. There is an away seating section which includes just over 2,000 seats. This section is located in the South-East corner of the stadium and is accessed via gate seven. Whatever area of the stadium you’re sitting in, you’ll find all the facilities you need at Cardiff City. This includes toilets, merchandise stands and food and drink outlets.
Tours
If you want to go behind the scenes at Cardiff City Football Club you can take a tour of the stadium. Go pitch side and visit the dugout, sit down in the changing rooms and take in the impressive view from the boxes. On your way around the stadium your guide will recount the history of the football club, its key players and time spent battling for titles.The tours are open to all ages and group sizes. Accessibility
Cardiff City is committed to providing the best facilities they can for disabled supporters and ensuring everyone can enjoy the events at the stadium. There are seven accessible entrances, and a number of wheelchair seating areas throughout the grounds, all with room to allow a personal assistant to sit alongside. Hard of hearing supporters have access to induction loop equipment and visually impaired supporters can listen to Cardiff City Player HD for premium Club Commentary. Top tip
On a match day, the stadium can get very busy as over 32,000 excited football fans make their way into the grounds. To make sure your visit goes smoothly, check your ticket in advance to find out which area you are sitting in and which entrance you should head to when you arrive. Try to leave plenty of time to get into the stadium, grab some food and drink and find your seats to avoid missing any of the action.
Eating and Drinking
You’ll find a plenty of places to grab some food and drink inside the stadium. Located in the centre of Cardiff, you’ll also have your pick of great cafés, restaurants and bars for food and drink before or after the match.
If you get peckish during the match you’ll find lots of food options inside the stadium. There are a number of fast food stands on the concourse and in the hospitality areas. Why not grab yourself a meal deal? With a pie and pint or soft drink for just £5, you can refuel for the second half without breaking the bank. Want to eat before or after the match? You’ll find lots of choices nearby. Just a short walk and you’ll arrive at the Potted Pig. This restaurant in a converted bank vault offers pork themed treats. For a friendly family run restaurant and classic Italian dishes, head to Giovanni's.
Serving up drink to over 32,000 excited footballs fans is no mean feat, but Cardiff City Stadium is up for the task. There are bars on the concourse and in hospitality offering a wide range of choices, including alcohol and soft drinks, as well as teas and coffees. Whether you choose lager, cider or bitter, all pints cost £2.50 throughout the stadium. If you want to continue your evening after full time, there are lots of places nearby ready to pour you a pint. Former canal warehouse, Bar 44 offers a buzzing atmosphere, a great selection of drinks including sherry from the cask, and some delicious tapas.
Near Cardiff City Stadium
Located to the west of the River Taff, you’ll find lots to see and do just a short walk from Cardiff City Stadium. Head North-East into the city centre and you’ll arrive at Cardiff Castle. With Roman ruins, a medieval keep, an opulent Gothic palace and a museum exploring the life of Welsh soldiers, you can easily while away the hours at this castle. Just a stone’s throw away you’ll step into one of the UK's most beautiful green spaces, Bute Park. With a world-famous arboretum, lots of hiking trails and picnicking spots, outdoorsy types will find lots to keep themselves busy pre or post-match within this park.

Getting to Cardiff City Stadium
Cardiff City Stadium is situated to the west of the city centre, and has plenty of transport options.
By car
Parking is limited around Cardiff City Stadium and spaces are predominantly designated to Season Ticket Holders. Remaining spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis. Use postcode CF11 8AZ for your sat nav. However, there’s lots of parking in the city centre.
By bus
There are local bus routes and stops that provide excellent access to Cardiff City Stadium.
If you’re getting the bus from the city centre, you can hop on the 95 and jump off at Jubilee Park for a short walk to the stadium.
By train
The Stadium is under a 10-minute walk from Grangetown Station, which you can get to by taking a connecting train from Cardiff Central. Exit Grangetown and turn left on to Sloper Road, then walk until you see the stadium on your left.
