Eating and Drinking
Grab a bite on campus or head out on a culinary adventure in the city centre - you’re spoilt for culinary choices at this university. Birmingham City University’s campus has plenty of places to eat and drink. For a big breakfast or light lunch, head to Lounge in the City South Campus. A fully restored Victorian pub, the Eagle and Ball is the home to the student union and offers menu pizzas, chicken wings and sandwiches.
From international cuisine to traditional pubs, you’ll have no trouble finding somewhere to eat in Birmingham city centre. Near the University campus you can explore the taste of West Africa at Debulge Kitchen, try a Balti at Suriya or head to the New Soho Tavern for a pint or two.
Getting to Birmingham City University
Based in the city centre, Birmingham City University has excellent transport links to help students and visitors get to and from campus.
By car
Based in the city centre, the University does not offer parking on campus. However, you’ll find the Millennium Point Multi Storey Car Park a short 5 minute walk from the Curzon Street campus.
By bus
You’ll have your choice of bus routes to take you to Curzon Street. Hop on the 51, 952, 907, 33, 934, 935 or 997 and you’ll be on campus in no time.
By train
If you’re travelling by train to the University there are a number of stations in the city centre. The Curzon Street campus is a 20-minute walk from New Street, 15 minutes from Snow Hill and 10 minutes from New Street.
