Vineyards and distilleries
The relatively warm and sunny south coast is becoming a hub for brewers and wine-makers, with several vineyards and distilleries a short distance from our Andover hotel. Cottonworth Vineyard has been making wine in the region for the last ten years, with their 30-acre plot producing three types of sparkling wine. You can sample them all on their tours which take place on Fridays and Saturdays between June and October from 11am to 1pm and include tasting and lunch.
Gin fans, meanwhile, will love a trip around the Bombay Sapphire Distillery in nearby Whitchurch on the banks of the River Test. There are several tour options ranging from self-guided tours to three-hour gin cocktail masterclasses and even the five-hour ‘Ultimate Experience.’ The self-guided tours run daily, and all tickets need to be booked in advance through their website.

Located just south of the town centre on the top floor of the ASDA Superstore, ODEON Andover is the largest cinema complex in the area, boasting five screens including 3D options showing the latest Hollywood blockbusters.
