Free pizzas for key workers at our London hotels

We’ve partnered with Deliveroo to serve almost 9,000 slices of pizza free of charge to NHS and key workers staying at our London hotels. 10 of our London hotels still open to key workers have been hosting weekly ‘Pizza Wednesdays’, with free pizza delivered by Deliveroo and their restaurant partner Pizza Hut.

The partnership has been set up as part of our Force For Good sustainability programme. It’s part of a wider initiative led by Deliveroo to make 500,000 free meals available to frontline NHS staff across the UK.

Since the partnership began 3 weeks ago, almost 9,000 slices of pizza in total have been enjoyed by key workers at our hotels. The feedback from key workers has been overwhelmingly positive and after a tough day, is something to look forward to in the comfort of our hotels, so much so that the two businesses are looking to extend the offering to additional Premier Inn key worker hotels across the UK.

Team members at our hotels set up a dedicated pizza stations in reception so key workers could collect their pizza in a safe and comfortable environment.

Agnieska Oboleviciene, Hotel Manager at Premier Inn London Docklands Excel, said: “We are really proud that we could be a force for good during the current crisis and as well as being able to provide a safe, clean and comfortable place for keyworkers to stay, we have also been able to partner with our friends at Deliveroo and Pizza Hut to offer our NHS and keyworker guests such an amazing token of appreciation for all their hard work.

“The feedback from guests has been so positive and gives them something else to look forward to after what is often a very tough day, and we are pleased we can put a smile on their faces.”

Berenice Cowan, Head of NHS Campaign, Deliveroo said: “We are delighted to partner with Premier Inn and Pizza Hut to help deliver thousands of free meals to key workers staying at the hotels. Deliveroo is working hard to provide NHS workers with 500,000 free hot meals and we are incredibly proud to do so. This is just a small gesture of thanks for the enormous effort they are all making to save lives and protect us all.”
