Methodology:

We analysed the top five headline acts for popular upcoming world festivals and their respective Spotify listeners and combined these with the average Google search data for '[festival name]', '[festival name] tickets' and '[festival name] line up' over the past 12 months. We then compared this data with the festival’s disclosed capacity to achieve a final index score that reveals the most anticipated festivals around the world. Index scores were rounded to the nearest full number. Festivals that have already taken place this year and festivals that had not yet revealed their line-up were excluded.

Search volume used was the total number of searches for the last 12 months (April 2022 - March 2023). All data correct as of April 2023.
