Count the number of sheep in our counting sheep puzzle

A difficult puzzle where readers must count the number of sheep, is pulling the wool over people’s eyes.

For decades, the sleep deprived have used counting sheep as a way of helping them to nod off.

And this image features dozens of the farmyard animals hidden all over the place - but what you think are sheep might not be what you think.

Premier Inn created the puzzle to highlight how guests who have been missing their stays at the hotel have been getting their fix by purchasing their pillows.

And with travel still limited for many,  figures show they are selling almost 150 pillows per day - with 57 per cent opting for soft and 43 per cent buying firm.

Overall, they have now sold more than 50,000 pillows in 12 months.

A spokesperson for Premier Inn said:

“There’s nothing like a good night’s sleep but sometimes we need a few sheep to help us nod off. While we have missed being able to welcome our guests over the past few weeks, we’re pleased so many are still benefiting from the comfortable pillows found in our hotel rooms in their own homes.”
