"Lost its personal touch!!!"
Lists its personal touch!! I have stayed at this hotel many times but they have now installed new touch screen computers in reception. Upon arrival I went to the reception desk where a member of staff was sitting. There was no greeting and I was directed to the touch screens when I advised him that I would like to check in. I know he sat watching me check in and then after validating my car park ticket he got up of his chair and headed to the restaurant/bar. I passed a comment (at which point he paused my momentarily)regarding the machine but he just ignored me and continued to walk away. I think it’s time to look for another hotel in Glasgow.

Day 1: Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that our Premier Plus room had a dirty duvet with black marks and sweat stains on the pillow. We complaint this to reception and were eventually moved to a different room. Unfortunately, the new room also had issues — the windowsill was dusty, the bed sheet had a wearing hole, and the carpet was stained (see attached photos). Despite these problems, the second room was better than the previous one, and we were too tired to request another change. We ended up wiping down the windowsill ourselves. Day 2: As was told, Premier Inn only services rooms if we inform reception before noon. We followed this policy, spoke with reception in the morning, and were assured it was noted. However, when we returned in the evening, the room had not been cleaned: bins were still full, and towels had not been replaced. Day 3: We went back to reception the next morning to again request room cleaning and fresh bedding. This time, we were told — quite firmly — that Premier Inn only changes bed linen every five days, a point emphasized by the staff member showing us five fingers. .. Day 4 & Day 5: We were just happy that we didn't pre-pay for more days, and certainly will not choose it next time.
"Expected Better"
We've stayed at this hotel many times over the years for anniversary and birthday celebrations, normally always booking a premier plus room. It's sad to say that the rooms we had just didn't live up to the " Premier Plus standard " no sense of a bigger or more luxurious room at all. Feeling and looking tired and dated, especially for what we are now paying to stay. It was also incredibly muggy and not being able to set the air con to below 19c is just bonkers. It is likely that an alternative is going to be needed on our next Glasgow visit. Very disappointed.
"Meeting friends for an evening of fun in the city"
A great central hotel for shopping and nightlife with all our comforts that was needed for a short stay with a two minute walk to the bus station and with bus links to the airport if travelling by plane, the railway station is a short walk or taxi ride away
"Disappointing service"
For service this is the worst Premier Inn we have ever used. On arrival the girl at reception did not make eye contact and pointed vaguely towards machines for us to check in. We tried to check-in and it came up with error messages several times. We reported this to the person on reception who pointed towards a colleague who did help us out, even then there was an error message with the check-in. When we got to our room, neither of the key cards worked and my husband had to go back to reception and get new cards. This was an extremely frustrating late evening experience. The bedroom was of a very high standard and the best shower we've ever used in a Premier Inn. We had a warm and comfortable night’s sleep. Next morning at breakfast the first thing we noticed was the sticky floor of the bar restaurant, which clearly had not been cleaned since the night before. Breakfast itself was okay. But why, oh why is there no decaffeinated coffee available from the coffee machines so that a person who can’t drink caffeine is forced to rely on sachets of cheap, bitter decaf coffee. Once again service was mixed. On arrival at breakfast we were seen by a member of staff who, instead of showing us to a table, continued with her job of putting away glasses and then excused herself without showing us to a table. Then we were looked after an exceptional member of staff called Linda who showed us to our table and was most obliging and apologetic that there was no decaf coffee. In 2025 it is disappointing that the policy of Premier Inn is to continue out-dated dietary advice, applicable at the end of the last century and so the yoghurts are low-fat and no full milk is available for drinks. We frequently visit Glasgow but will not use this Premier Inn again.
