Trains run between most Edinburgh stations and Edinburgh Airport every seven minutes. There are connections from Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park, Haymarket and Edinburgh Waverley to Fife, Peth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Falkirk, London and many other destinations. Airlink 100 buses run from St Andrew Square in Edinburgh City Centre to Edinburgh Airport every 12 minutes during the day, with a journey time of about 30 minutes. Skylink 200 services run to Ocean Terminal via Newhaven, Skylink 300 services run to Surgeons’ Hall via west Edinburgh and Skylink 400 services run via Oxgangs and Edinburgh PARK to Fort Kinnaird, all with a journey time of between 50 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes.

Regular bus and National Express coach services also run from Glasgow, Fife, Dundee and Stirling with a journey time of about an hour. The Megabus M20 service runs between Newcastle and Edinburgh Airport and takes around three hours.

By tram
Trams depart from Edinburgh City Centre to Edinburgh Airport every 15 minutes with a journey time of around 30 minutes. The tram runs from York Place and St Andrew Square station directly outside Edinburgh Airport’s main terminal.
