"A shockingly unpleasant and expensive stay."
It began so well with the easy check-in, but spiralled out of control after that. We stayed in room 218 on Friday night of 11 July. Dinner of fish and chips was inedible: dry, burnt and oven cooked to death. Cheap and nasty. The peas were hard and the chips no better than your local’s frozen. The mac’n cheese is tiny at £14 with one tiny piece of garlic bread served. The hotel kindly left us a poo stained towel which we discovered before breakfast!!! Enough said about that. The queue for breakfast with impatient parents staring at empty tins where bacon, eggs, mushrooms and hash browns should be was a sad parade. We consumed their tired continental, just to be safe. The only saving grace was the aircon in the room, and the pleasant staff members. A shockingly unpleasant and expensive stay.
"Feeling welcomed and part of the team!"
Premier Inn North is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are excellent - super helpful. The car park is safe and so too is the local area. The rooms are clean, comfy and suitable for short overnight stays. I’m here every week and the staff make it feel home from home. (The breakie is great too).
      "Great Hotel"
Great hotel and great staff. The team were fantastic and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Highly recommend.
      "It's Just OK"
I stay at this Premier Inn as it is convenient for work and on average 1-2 nights per month. This hotel is definitely deteriorating and needs an upgrade. Reception staff are always lovely and efficient. I only booked a standard room as they are getting very expensive. On arrival in the room (213) I was pleased to see a card on the side exclaiming how good the beds are. Alas mine was awful and made a loud squeaking noise every time I turned over and was very uncomfortable so I didn't get much sleep. The shower head holder was also broken so I had to limbo under to have a shower. The room was near to the main road and is only partially double glazed so lots of noise to disturb sleep. Its such a shame to see it deteriorate as its really handy with a big Tesco next to it so you can buy something to eat if you don't want a "ping" meal offered from a limited menu in the Premier Inn itself. Come on Premier Inn you can do far better as I have stayed in your recently upgraded Premier Inns in other locations.
      "Terrible food"
Rooms are ok staff polite But food it awful burger is like rubber to much microwave terrible food will not eat that crap again all microwave crap. Curry microwaved way too long how can they charge that much. Definitely ain't any chef here that's for sure. Better of eating for the chippy up the road
