"Group of 7 stayed for business trip."
A group of us stayed over night for a business trip. The hotel was good value for money. New check in system was great and staff were helpful and friendly. Doing the group booking via Premier Inn's business service (which is free to join) made creating the group booking easier.
"OK for what we needed..."
Travellings through the area and we needed a bed for the night. The 1st thing...a skip full of rubbish out front and a view of the red bins for the restaurant next door. Limited parking and they charge 3.90! I believe gir 24 hrs....would have been nice not to have that money-grab. The self check in didn't recognize me so had to wait to see a human being (polite young man)...the room was as expected and comfortable enough. Entering the room , it was dark with curtains closed...no lights working. Had to go back to reception...I have never come across having to use the door card in a slot just inside the door yo activate the electrical before...no sign/explanation on that until I had to find someone to ask! Otherwise a reasonable nights sleep.
"What happened to the great service & rooms & price?"
Room key lo key me out of my room at 2.30am after a night out.. the shower was a trickle.. they charge for parking.. anything extra they could charge for they will hit you with.
"Excellent Service, Friendly Staff"
We spent two weeks staying here, as visitors from the Falklands, for my wife to attend John Radcliffe Hospital. The room was good, the Beefeater, next door, was very good. The staff have all been extremely supportive and helpful, and polite. We were given an "accessible" room, due to my wife's ambulatory problems, however, rather than a shower/bath combination, just a shower would be very helpful. Or, perhaps, a bath with a door in the side. Also, the door to the room, was too heavy for her to open when she was in her scooter (and the corridor was too narrow, really). The hotel has recently had a few renovations, so I doubt these small observations will be acted upon, at present. The aircon was valuable during the heatwave. The environs, despite a busy road, was surprisingly quiet. But the staff were very, very helpful and polite. Nothing was ever a chore and they seemed to go out of their way to do whatever they could for us.
