"Stay away if you don't want a Ryan Air / Easy Jet experience!"
We had a late check-in and the experience wasn't great. Everything is geared to be DIY and nickel & diming you like a discount airline. It isn't even the amount of the additional costs - rather how annoying their systems are and how you have to do everything for the priviledge of paying. We arrived at the location and there was no one around. They had self-checkin kiosks but of course nothing worked (they asked for a UK postal code - we are from the US, the reservation & booking numbers). We pushed the service button and it took forever for someone to come out (very nice person when they did show up). Biggest annoyance - their free internet is complete garbage - they have it throttled so that it provides only 1mbps speeds up / down but it is so unreliable and inconsistent, it is really isn't usable for anything other the simplest / most basic things. The hotel is also in the middle of nowhere very pretty poor mobile data coverage so you really don't have any choice but to go offline for awhile or pay the 5 GBP (about $7) PER CONNECTION - I'm here with my family so bascially we sould have ended up paying and extra for $60 for our laptops and phones just for 8mbps service per day. What a joke! Also, room is relatively new and clean but one bed was not ready. Definitely stay away If actual service and a decent comp wifi connection matter to you!
"Parking fine !!"
Don't park here unless you want a £100 parking fine !! This is after paying for parking !!! Stayed here many nights parking my work van and paid for parking and registering my vehicle registration with the receptionist, who is then supposed to put it on their system?!!!! Only to receive multiple fines weeks later !!
"Very poor restaurant and can't provide gluten free"
Please avoid this please if you are celiac as the restaurant put wheat products on my child's plate as was even bothered, even after two attempts to put it right, then spoke to the manager who was on site today on the 31st of may and was told by her it had been cooked separately but we watched the cook just put contaminated food on his place, then got called lier's and when I said to her that you could put my boy in hospital she just walked of and said I don't like the way you have spoke to me. Also we had a evening meal there and had to send all the meals back because they were all cold and asked for a bottle of wine but had to send that back too as it had been opened as some had been taken out. Please avoid until they get new staff of a decent manager how can talk to people and not storm off in a huff!!!
"Very nice stay"
Very nice and clean up to date premier in staff where very helpful and always smiling we ate in the thyme restaurant we had the meal deal so we had an evening meal and breakfast and all was very good But the reason I gave a 4 and not a 5 was the place seemed to have dust everywhere all the window sills all the wood partitions in the restaurant anywhere there was wood there was dust buy the cleaner a duster please it would do improve your facilities Apart from that an excellent stay
"Treat yourself to breakfast - you don’t have to be a resident!"
Our favourite place for breakfast. A weekly visit before shopping. Excellent value for money, good selection of cooked or continental breakfast, as much as you can eat. Garry, the chef, always on top of keeping things fresh and very willing to cook an egg request. Sally, hostess, always welcoming and keeps a tight ship in cleaning tables restocking food, etc. would recommend
