"A little worn around the edges."
Our main reason for using this hotel was proximity to a venue we were visiting. Our room was on the ground floor and was as we expected. This hotel is an older hotel and doesn’t have usb charging points on plugs but there are enough sockets for you to use. The main public areas of the hotel are looking very tired and worn. It is in need of a refurbishment . We ate in the restaurant and the meal was well cooked and the staff were attentive. Breakfast was as expected but no decaffeinated tea only fruit tea .
"Tired hotel, bit overpriced"
Overall the hotel looks really tired on the outside and not very welcoming. Rooms are OK but the bathrooms really need an update. We had breakfast but the quality was very poor. Both the fruit and apple juice had a fizzy taste so must've been out of date. The coffee machine also wasn't working properly and there was no alternative so couldn't make a coffee. Not worth £10.99 each.
"I don’t recommend this this hotel"
This is my second time starting in this hotel the first time it wasn’t pleasant people seems to be quite rude in reception and in a bar this time I find even more rude people they say hello to you they don’t even look at your face and when he comes up for breakfast, I was paid for that breakfast but they said no and they were really really rude when trying to sort out what was the issue ! very disappointed. The room was okay, but I stay in the room facing the main road so was very noisy. I definitely don’t recommend this hotel to no one , I stayed here because my company book me to stay this hotel no my choice.
"Friendly & quiet"
Friendly, helpful staff, with particular mention for Debbie. Our room was clean & spacious. Good location by the river & close to a variety of facilities. Parking available on site. Nice & quiet, but handy for going into the city. Recommended to anyone staying in Norwich.
"Nice view but fix the aircon"
We booked a room with aircon only to find that it didn't work and instead there was dust-covered fan in the room. The aircon was able to tell us that it's was 31°C in the room but unable to do anything about it. By morning it was 16°C outside and 29°C in the room. There was a nice view of the river from our room, better view than most Premier Inns I've stayed at. The room was clean and up to standard and it's a convenient location to get into the city centre from. I think I would score it higher in the winter but the temperature made for two rather unpleasant nights sleep here.
