London City (Aldgate) hotel

We chose this premier inn due to the location for an event we attended in Bethnal Green. Nice and close to a tube station. That’s as good as it gets. The service is poor, slow in cleaning rooms lack of staff maybe on the days we asked for room cleaning they just either didn’t do it or don’t get round to it. I suppose if your room are lower number they might have enough time for it. This having to ask to have your room cleaned at reception is a piece of nonsense that’s travlelodge budget service but your paying premium premier in prices you shouldn’t need to ask the rooms should just be serviced everyday as any other hotel would do. The shower in our room wasn’t the best either rainfall head that’s pretty weak my partner struggled to rinse her hair properly with it. We had to have a seal fitted to the shower glass that was missing so the first day the bathroom Floor was completely soaked and we had to use additional towels to not slip on the floor. Not rubber mats available for the bath and the surface was very slippy, we were told none available but they were on order. More than likely on our next visit to London we will use a different hotel chain, premier in really don’t deserve your money.

Great location very near the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, great service and professional staff, rooms are clean, spacious and very confortable. Great breakfast and a very nice bar / restaurant. Very quiete and a great value for money, will be back for sure.

We have stayed here four or five times, and returned again this weekend for 3 nights. We book a premier plus room as the rooms tend to be a bit quieter. No complaints from us again here. The room was clean. An issue with a missing shower screen seal (which unfortunately resulted in a very wet bathroom on first use) was resolved the same day when reporting to reception in the morning. Top marks there. The air conditioning worked brilliantly and was much needed this weekend at 30+oC. The location for us is great. Very quiet with pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Whitechapel is easily walkable. Aldgate East tube station is just around the corner, and Aldgate/Tower Hill stations are also close by. We don't include breakfast these days as in the past it's been chaotic (and this weekend looked to be no exception). Lots of other options nearby including a Wetherspoons. Reception staff were helpful throughout, including being able to leave our bags for a couple of hours on our final day. Its our go to Premier Inn in London. We will be back soon.

Good value as you'd expect from Premier Inn. The hotel is very close to two tube stations and about 15 minutes walk to Tower bridge and the river. Quiet location on a back street.

The location is great. The ease of having food without moving around too much was great and their breakfast is lovely however the customer service could be better.
