"Good in parts but questionable in others."
This is probably an unusual hotel - some good some questionable points. Pros The local ion of this hotel is amazing. Short walk to the Westminster Abbey, Parliament House, Big Ben, the Thames, and the London Eye etc. Th staff were excellent and welcoming. Beds were comfy and room very clean. Bag storage for no charge. Cons The size of the room was not much larger that the queen bed. I put my day bag on the bed head above my head, my own case in the bathroom and my wife's case closed in the room. No eggs other than scrambled for breakfast, No cereals other than muselie, no bacon, questionable sausages. No ramp to check in from the street (my wife has a walker)
"Another amazing stay"
My wife and I returned for another short break in London and this hotel is now our go to place to stay. Location is superb, close to many sites and right by St James tube station. Lovely cooked breakfast every morning and complimentary tea and coffee available all day from the bar area. Staff once again very friendly and keep the hotel spotlessly clean. A nice touch is the free bottles of water in the rooms on arrival. Hotel also has a left luggage area that guest can use.
"Good Value -- But Needs a Few Comfort Tweaks"
This is a VERY quiet hotel in an excellent location of London. Features we liked: the novelty of the headboard light/heat controls, comfortable bed, nice bed linen. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated access to coffee machine in restaurant. Breakfast was okay, but boring after the 2nd day (same menu day after day). Hotel felt safe (access doors used cardkeys). Features we struggled with: this was our first "European" hotel -- rooms are very small (smaller than a cruise ship interior cabin). No bedside tables or shelves (we used the headboard). Sliding shower door did not open wide enough to allow easy access (opening too narrow for average size people). Towels had unusual odor. Carpet was very worn/dirty. No way to turn on lights only in the bathroom. If guests are expected to reuse towels, hotel should provide towel racks or hooks to allow towels to air dry. VERY limited bathroom counter space. Only 1 small chair for rooms that accommodate 2 people. No room safe. Comfort Tweaks: add small bedside tables or shelves. Add bathroom-only light control (leaving the room dark). Add more hooks or towel bars to air dry towels. Add a second small chair in double rooms. Add a laptop size room safe. Provide more rolls of toilet paper in each room.
"Poor quality cleaning, dirty rooms"
The hotel is not well cleaned. I have a teenager- and they clean their room better. There was two weeks of dust on the panel behind the bed. The “room refresh” we requested took three days and many reminders for the staff to complete. I am not sure what this services means to the hotel staff expectations- but we ended up using Clorox wipes to clean the area ourselves. The carpets are dirty. I ended up throwing socks away.
"London pubs and theatre vibes"
We had a great 3 day stay at the Premier Inn London Westminster Abbey. The location is fantastic and the room was very clean and comfortable I would definitely stay there again.
