"A positively glacial welcome!"
It was probably the least welcoming welcome we've ever had at a Premier Inn! Positively glacial! We would have had more warmth from a check in machine. The workmen received a warmer welcome, and they were probably being paid for. We paid our own bill but really didn't feel welcome.
Our room was half the size of the room at our hotel in Eastbourne the night before. We'd tried to book the Premier Inn for that night, too, as we'd needed to extend our stay. However, there were internet connection problems and by the time we got a connection the Premier Inn price had increased by £13! Thank god! We got a room twice the size, twice as nice, superking bed and a pool for the same (previous) price!
As usual, the Premier Inn bed was comfortable. When we arrived, the filthy fan was on at full blast. The room was clean, there was a bath, but it appeared to be leaking from the plug hole / waste.
There was Nescafe coffee. There was no fridge in the room.

"Worst Prrmier Inn we have been to."
The worst Premier Inn we have ever stayed in. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful bar 1 lovely man who went above and beyond what was asked of him. I wanted some extra towels and because I had my hands full, he offered to take them to our room. When I said it was ok, he opened the door to the corridor for me and again offered to take them. Otherwise, staff were rude, grumpy and unhelpful. The room was more basic than we have ever had in a Premier Inn. Very little storage for clothes but with a nice new chaise lounge. We knew it was new as they had taken off the labels but left all the plastic tags sticking out of the seat cushion all down the side. The bed was the uncomfiest we have ever had. Bring back the Hypnos mattresses they used to have. This one felt like a water mattress it wobbled about every time we turned over. The sheets didn't fit because the mattress was so deep. The sheets came loose every night so slid down the bed. There was no air con which we knew and normally isn't needed in England but we happened to be there during the heatwave. They did provide a fan but we had to have it turned up to the max which meant the volume limited TV couldn't be heard over the noise of the fan. We feel we may not use Premier Inn again let alone this hotel.

Really awful! Hotel was dirty. Bathroom light flashing, extraction fan not working. No air con, so there was a fan., which was dirty and in affective.
Breakfast- the coffee machine not working, no alternative offered.
