Travelling alone? We’ll make sure you can really rest easy

Whenever you come and stay with us, we want to make sure you feel completely safe. That’s why we have a series of measures in place to ensure that guests travelling alone have the most comfortable, secure and enjoyable stay possible.

Your safety is always our number one priority. That’s why, at Premier Inn, we take genuine steps to protect our guests and make them feel supported and welcome... from having a member of staff available to assist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to ensuring that all our hotels have a restaurant either on-site or next door.

So, whenever you stay with us, you’ll know you can always rest easy.

Feel safe from the moment you arrive

We want to make sure our hotels are safe and welcoming places. That’s why you’ll find parking on-site or close to almost all our hotels (and in many cases, adjacent car parks are owned and operated by us too). So, for your comfort and peace of mind, if you’re travelling late at night or alone, most of the time you’ll be able to park up and walk straight into the hotel.

We also take extra steps to help reassure and protect solo travellers who are staying with us. Here’s how...

•             When you check in, we'll hand you your room details discreetly and we won't say your room number out loud, so no details about you can be overheard at reception

•             Where possible, we won’t check vulnerable or solo female travellers into rooms that are on the ground floor or at the end of a corridor

•             Every Premier Inn has a door entry system and only Premier Inn guests can enter after 11pm at night

•             Every bedroom door is fitted with a deadlock or chain for the most secure protection

We are proud to collaborate with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, a renowned charitable organisation dedicated to raising awareness of personal safety, especially for females travelling alone. In conjunction with the trust, we produced tips to help keep you safe. For more information, visit www.premierinn.com/gb/en/faq/lone-travellers.html.

All our hotels have a restaurant on-site or close by

Prefer to eat close to where you’re staying? We have restaurants on-site or close by all our hotels, which is ideal if you’re arriving late or you just want a convenient place to dine with as little travel time as possible.

You’ll always find a warm welcome at our restaurants – they’re relaxing places to eat, drink and unwind after a long journey. Most of them have quiet areas where you can enjoy your meal undisturbed. And if you’d like more privacy, just speak to our team members and they’ll do their best to get you a more secluded table where you’ll feel more comfortable.
