We’re opening more hotels in Dublin for business
We’re delighted to announce that Premier Inn is expanding into Ireland. We’ve already secured five city centre locations in Dublin, and we have plenty more on the way. Dublin is becoming a rapidly growing market as more and more major financial companies join tech giants like Google, Facebook and Amazon in migrating their offices from London to Dublin. Our aim is to bring the same level of convenience, comfort and care to our new hotels in Ireland, ensuring wherever your work trips take you, you can rest easy with Premier Inn.
What are we bringing to Dublin?
As always, we have ambitious plans and we’ve already put the groundwork in to achieve them. Joining our Dublin Airport site we’re planning on opening five hotels in the city centre at locations that are perfect for business, we should hit around 2500 rooms in total. Our first Dublin city centre hotel will be our Premier Inn South Great George’s Street, opening around autumn 2021. We’ll then be opening new hotels on Gloucester Street and in Newmarket in the next few years.
In terms of plans beyond that, we’ve secured two other locations which we plan to develop in the future: a flagship docklands hotel at Castle Forbes and a freehold development at Jervis Street. We’re also looking at building a Premier Inn hotel at Morrison Quay in Cork.
Matt Gent, our Development Manager for Ireland, said: “We see enormous potential for Premier Inn in Dublin and it feels great to be on site and working closely with our development partners to progress our pipeline of city centre hotels following the return to full construction activity in early May. With a gradual easing of lockdown measures planned for the summer, and our first hotel in Dublin city centre opening this autumn at South Great George’s Street, I am hopeful we will be able to explore new locations for Premier Inn in the city and grow our network in Dublin further.”
What to expect from our Dublin hotels
Our Standard rooms all have luxury kingsize beds, blackout curtains, free Wi-Fi, power showers, generous workspaces and comfy chairs.
Like our UK hotels, all our Dublin hotels will have restaurants with bar areas and spaces to relax either on-site or very close by. Our restaurants serve unlimited full cooked Premier Inn Breakfasts, and our excellent value Meal Deal means you can get more for your money. We offer parking at the majority of our hotels, plus in Dublin we aim to be in the heart of the action with our city centre location, close to major business hubs, exhibition and event centres and sightseeing spots to relax after a busy day at work.
