Why has Premier Inn opened hotels in Germany?
We chose to expand into Germany with the goal of adding value to the German market. With our experience in the UK and our expertise we felt that Germany had great prospects for us to grow as a brand, with a strong economy, large population and demand for high quality budget hotel stays.
Over 20 hotels in Germany and counting
We currently have over 20 hotels across 15 key cities in Germany. We’ve had an established presence in Germany for a while – our first hotel in Germany, our Premier Inn Frankfurt Messe hotel has just celebrated its 5th birthday.
Many of our hotels in Germany are close to city centres and exhibitions for meetings, but also well placed for exploring some of the best attractions in Germany after a busy day at work.
We have two hotels in Frankfurt. Our Frankfurt Messe hotel is next to Messe Frankfurt, one of the world’s biggest trade fairs and major exhibition hub. We’re also close to Main Tower skyscraper and Frankfurt Central station.
In Hamburg, our estate now covers five hotels across the city. Our Hamburg hotels are close to key transport links like Hamburg Airport and Hamburg Port, we’re also close to Alster lakes and Hamburg Town Hall.
There are four Premier Inn hotels in great locations in Munich. Our Munich Airport Ost hotel is next to Munich Airport with great connections to the rest of the city. Our other Munich hotels are close to famous landmarks like New Town Hall, Mary’s Column and the Marienplatz, as well as München Schwabing tram station.
Essen has two Premier Inn hotels, close to Essen train station and the Berliner Platz underground station. Our Essen City Limbecker Platz hotel is just a short walk from convention centres and the Thyssen Krupp Business Park.
We also have hotels close to major business hubs in Berlin, Nuremberg, Dusseldorf, Freiburg, Stuttgart and Cologne. As we grow in Germany, we have over 70 sites secured, and we see a potential of over 300 hotels across the country.
What can I expect from Premier Inn hotels in Germany?
All our rooms include a super-comfy bed, a selection of pillows, a desk, chair, free Wi-Fi, a Freeview TV with over 60 TV and radio channels and bathrooms with power showers.
Our hotels have spacious communal areas, ideal for catching up with colleagues and planning for the day ahead. All our hotels have a restaurant and bar on-site to relax and unwind.
