Chesterfield North hotel

Do not stay here. No Air Con, room is 31+ degrees with a poxy fan provided that just blows hot air (and built up dust inside it) around. Very uncomfortable. Limited parking due to works going on. TV was not tuned so no channels. Not what I expect from a Premier Inn.

We were helped in reception by Hannah as when I phoned I thought I had booked for 2 nights but alas I had only booked one night and it worked out very expensive last minute for an additional night. Hannah helped us with 2 rooms next to each other and the same rooms for the 2nd night so we didn't have to move again. She kindly added a complimentary breakfast. This certainly took the sting out of the extra payment . Thank you Hannah, what a star xx🩷

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. Everything ran smoothly. We must mention how welcoming and helpful Judith was, taking time to not only deal with our questions but continuing to research after we left the front desk. The hotel is easy to find and has a Starbucks and large Tesco within a few minute's walk.

Arrived after a five‑hour journey, even got there thirty minutes early with no delays. Tried to ask about an early check‑in and was ignored at the desk. The first staff member snapped that she “hadn’t started her shift yet,” while the other was at least polite. We returned later, only to be greeted with an aggressive “What’s your name?” and the same rude attitude throughout. We were spoken to sharply, shouted at, and told we had to book a breakfast time — then she tried to book one for us without asking. When I calmly said her behaviour was rude and aggressive, she denied it, claimed she was “recording this for her own safety,” and stepped away, even though we were just standing at the desk. Overall, extremely unprofessional and hostile service Would never ever stay at a Premier Inn especially this one again!

Good location and a very clean room. Staff were very friendly and acknowledged us each time we left or entered the building. There is a train line nearby but did not disturb us at all and although we did not use the attached restaurant it seemed busy and well attended. Great value!
