The waterfront along Salford Quays has a modern magnificence, filled with curvy lines and striking architecture, especially at night when the lights reflect on the river.

What is the best area to stay in Manchester?
Manchester city centre is compact and extremely walkable, so anywhere you stay should mean you can explore with ease. The Portland Street area in particular is close to Oxford Road station, with free buses for getting around if you’d rather not walk. It’s next to Chinatown and just 10 minutes’ walk from the pubs, bars and iconic nightlife of the Northern Quarter.

Is Manchester good for shopping?
Yes, Manchester is an excellent destination to enjoy some retail therapy.
